Here you can see a selection of colour profiles I created for AF Editores.
These illustrations have appeared in an exceptional Spanish magazine REVISTA ESPANOLA DE HISTORIA MILITAR, as well as in various books released in Spain by the same publisher.
I would like to thank Carlos Fresno for our long-standing collaboration, which has always brought me great pleasure and high job satisfaction.
I would like to extend my thanks to Fernando Vallejo for an opportunity to publish my illustrations of Mi-24 in AK Interactive Aces High. I have faith that in the near future more of my colour profiles will appear in publications from this company, which is highly regarded amongst many model-making enthusiasts.
Chevron Publishing is well-known for its production of many fascinating titles for publishers like Ian Allan Publishers, Midland Publishing, Crecy Publishing, Osprey Publishing and others. While working with Chevron Publishing, I had a great pleasure to collaborate with many acclaimed authors - Robert Forsyth, Eddie J. Creek, J. Richard Smith, William A. Medcalf and Chris Goss to name a few. I would like to thank Robert Forsyth especially, since he has made it possible for me to be a part of their project.
Flugzeug Classics is an excellent magazine for anyone interested in aviation history, as well as model-making enthusiasts. I was fortunate enough to prepare illustrations for two articles published in the magazine. Many thanks to the Eddie J. Creek and the team at Flugzeug Classics.
Kagero Publishing was the first company I was offered a cooperation with. I would like to thank the owner and executive of Kagero Publishing, Damian Majsak.
I had the pleasure to collaborate with the Kagero team for many years; during that time my works were included in various issues of Militaria XXwieku and Aero, as well as in many books and decals sets which have proved highly popular among aviation history and model-making enthusiasts. I had a chance to work with some Polish authors: Maciej Goralczyk (who has greatly impressed me with his knowledge of WWII Luftwaffe), Leszek A. Wieliczko (who knows more about Japanese aviation than anyone I have ever met), Tomasz Szlagor and many others.
I had an amazing opportunity to create illustrations for one of the books from a world-renowned series Combat Aircraft from Osprey Publishing. I would like to thank Tony Holmes for letting me be a part of this project.
Silver Wings is a company that specialises in making resin model kits in 1/32 scale as well as other high-quality modelling products. I heartily recommend the brand and would like to encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with their offer.
Recently I have started a collaboration with Stratus. Their offer includes a diverse range of published materials that provide an extensive source of knowledge and inspiration for model-makers and military enthusiasts. It was a privilege to contribute to a few of their titles. Many thanks to the fantastic authors I had a chance to work with - Tomasz J. Kopanski, Lechoslaw Musialkowski and Jakub Fojtik. I would also like to thank the whole team at Stratus, especially Bartlomiej Belcarz.
My name is Janusz Swiatlon. I live in Krakow, Poland. In the early 1980s I started serving in the Polish Army in the 6th Pomorska Dywizja Powietrzno-Desantowa (an airborne force unit); at present I am retired. Both an enthusiast of aviation history and a military modeller. As an illustrator, I am the author of numerous colour aircraft profiles published in magazines and books issued by AF Editores, Kagero, Chevron, Stratus and other publishing houses.
If you are a publisher interested in cooperation, contact me at my email address. My illustrations can be also commissioned by private individuals.
